Before Aug 2014 , phones Manufactured after January 26th 2013 could not be unlocked. Any older phone could be unlocked.
Due to a legislation passed by the Library of Congress for the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we were forbidden to unlock devices that were manufactured on January 26th, 2013 and later. We will not be held liable for unknowingly unlocking a device that was made from this date onwards. Phones made BEFORE this date are still 100% okay to unlock. This law can be completely ignored by clients outside of the USA in foreign countries. This is part of the DMCA ruling.
All U.S.A. customers seeking to unlock their phone fully agree to having purchased their cell phone prior to January 26, 2013. If purchased after January 26th 2013, then you certify having the carrier's permission to unlock your Mobile device, or unlocking a "legacy" or "older generation" cell phone out of contract.
We will not knowingly give any advice, provide any service to, be held legally liable or responsible for the customer's actions if they do not abide by the above requirements. If you make a purchase of a code with us you are accepting full responsibility of your actions.
